PhpPgAdmin is one of the most popular tools for managing PostgreSQL databases. It's easy-to-use, at the same time powerful and you will be able to perform any action you need - import, export and / or update any cell, row or table in a database; grant, revoke or adjust the permissions of a given user; execute SQL queries and much more. If you need to have a backup copy of a PostgreSQL-driven website, for instance, or move it to some other hosting supplier, you'll be able to export the whole database in a format that you choose - SQL, CSV, XML, XHTML and many others. With phpPgAdmin, you'll have complete control over your databases and all things related to them. The instrument was in fact intended as the PostgreSQL alternative of phpMyAdmin, but today the two have little in common in terms of the user interface.

This feature can also be used in case some other person, like a graphic designer, has to access a database part of your account. In this way, your files and e-mails will be protected since nobody will access them.

phpPgAdmin in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You can access and employ phpPgAdmin in order to manage each database with only a couple of mouse-clicks in case you host your websites in a semi-dedicated server package from us. When you enter the PostgreSQL section of our custom-made Hepsia Control Panel, you will see a little phpPgAdmin button next to each database that you have set up. Any time you click on this button for a specific database, you'll be logged in automatically, so you won't be required to type in any further login details. Because you may employ the services of a web designer, yet, we've also provided a possibility to access phpPgAdmin manually by using a direct login page in which the database username and password must be entered. This way, the designer won't be able to access your files or view your private contact information.
